My vent...

Well another cycle bust. But hey I ovulated, ON MY OWN. That in its self is huge. But it is bust. I hate that Even with ovulation we have such a small chance each cycle. Next week brings new appointments. One with Dr K. who is a GP with a twist. His special interest is womens health and married couples fertility. He is also a practicing Catholic and helps direct us with our fertility issues and keeping with in the Catholic faith.
The second is with Dr T. He is the other Dr who looked after me in pregnancy and delievered Mr T. He is also a fertility specialist. Hopefully he will feel confident caring for our fertility needs as well as our spiritual needs.

So this brings me to my conversation with a family member today (also the ONLY family member who reads this blog.) Our needs as a Catholic Family wanting to add to our family whilst undergoing fertility treatments. (Please note, what is ok for one catholic couple maybe very different for another, as even in the eyes of the church this is a grey area and can leave it very open for inturpritation. It comes down to what each couple is comfortable with.) Ok here goes:

• We want to have a say, let our treatment plan be a disscussion not a set science experiment that has to follow certain rules and guidelines that the DR sets.
• We do not want IVF shoved down our throats at every appointment and made to feel bad, to the point of thinking of straying from our (yes both JOHN and I) origional plan and feelings about it.
• To be respected with our choices. And still be given the best chance at concieving with in our moral boundries.

So there is a basic outline of our feelings, The churches feelings that is a huge document, with shades of grey.
